Arizona data indicates more than 600 kids age-out of foster care per month. 60% of aged-out youth face homelessness or prison within a year.
At OCJ Kids, we allow every foster kid to age-out of care with dignity. Our kids are not trash. Their worth is not trash.
They will transition into the next stages of their life with their belongings in a suitcase … not a trash bag.
What happens when you're 18 years old?
Entering adulthood, money is scarce. Is having food on the table or a cellphone a priority?
OCJ Kids provides transitional suitcases to assist teens aging-out of care with dignity, and provide essential household items.
Both OCJ Kids’ resources provides mentorship opportunities. Mentorship guides our youth on a trajectory to success.
The cellphone program allow teens to connect with employers, get hired, & transfer the plan to their name after 6 months!
OUR MISSION
Youth are amazing! They hope, dream, challenge, learn and lay the groundwork for their futures and ours. The education, experience and family values instilled in a teen will follow them for the rest of their lives. Every day, youth in society are exposed to unhealthy and unstable futures.
OCJ Kids’ mission is to equip foster and at-risk children and youth by providing them tools, resources, and positive role models to succeed and excel in every area of life.
